The older I get, the thinner and more sensitive my skin becomes. Our skin normally thins as we age, but I’ve done some extra damage to accelerate it on my face.
- I used Accutane in my early 40’s because I was still breaking out regularly, but also developing wrinkles! Clearly unfair! It fixed the acne, but left my skin super-sensitive to everything.
- I used Retin A for many years for the break outs. My Dermatologist has just put me back on it to slough non-cancerous keratosis off my face, before they need to be frozen off. Then of course there’s the
promised wrinkle reducing benefit of Retin A (jury is still out on that one).
The upshot is I have fragile, hypersensitive skin that needs special, gentle care. Basically, I can sleep standing up, or sleep on the softest pillowcases available. And that’s these.
Last year I bought one for me and one for my daughter in “White Russian”. It was love at first sleep.
They’re incredibly soft, smooth and look so elegant. I feel like a 1930’s Starlet slipping into my bed, piled high with these oh-so-soft, luxurious pillow cases.'
