Our Ideal Garden Derby Party (Probably Next Spring)

Picture it: a long linen table under the dogwoods. Wide-brim hats. Chilled silver cups sweating in the sun. A breeze that knows exactly what it's doing. We pulled the whole vision together with a little help from AI.
We've been mood-boarding our dream Derby moment all week, and naturally, we couldn't help imagining how we'd brand the Savvy Sleepers swag for it. Think Vintage Rosé satin pillowcases as party favors. Branded peony candles as to-go gifts. Eye masks tucked into welcome bags with a hand-lettered "go gently" tag.
It's the kind of party we'd absolutely throw if we had even one free Saturday.
Filing it under: maybe next spring.
Try It This Weekend
Speaking of Mint Juleps…
Confession: we've never actually had one! So if this weekend has you in a wide-brim-hat, slow-weekend kind of mood, here's the recipe we're trying right alongside you.
The Classic Mint Julep
Serves 1 · 5 minutes · Very Saturday-afternoon
Ingredients
- 8–10 fresh mint leaves, plus a sprig for garnish
- ½ oz simple syrup (or 1 tsp sugar)
- 2½ oz Kentucky bourbon
- Crushed ice — the more, the better
Method
- Add the mint and simple syrup to a julep cup (or a chilled rocks glass). Gently muddle — you want to bruise, not shred.
- Fill the cup with crushed ice, packed up to the rim.
- Pour the bourbon over the top. Stir until the cup is frosty enough to make you smile.
- Top with more crushed ice, slap a sprig of mint between your palms (releases the oils), and tuck it in.
- Sip slowly. Sit somewhere pretty. Pretend it's Derby Day.
If you make one, send us a photo.

Don't Forget — Tag a Friend
The Vintage Rose Pillowcase + Scrunchie set has your name on it (or your best friend's). Either way, you both win.
Or, if you're impatient: shop the set.
