October is National Domestic Violence Awareness month and last Thursday, we hosted our Welcome to Dallas 'Slumber Party for a Cause' to benefit Genesis Women's Shelter and Support. We were able to host the event thanks to generous sponsors and bloggers, friends and Dallas entrepreneurs who were able to attend. Here are the photos from the night below.
Savvy Sleepers is donating 20% of every October Sale to Genesis as well as one of our luxe satin pillowcases for every bed in the shelter because we feel it's a luxury every woman deserves.
Guests were greeted with prosecco and an organic frozen blackberry to give off the effect of one of our favorite cocktails with a Wild Hibiscus flower.
Platinum Motors showed off a gorgeous pink Bently outside for its cause #RealMenDrivePink, and our Serenity Travel Size satin pillowcase was stationed at the lounge entrance.
A little glam to start the party off...
Cheers to Sweet Beat Vodka! Huge thanks to our Vodka sponsor - one of the hottest new adult beverages in Dallas. We made 'Savvy Sipper Cocktails' for guests with Sweet Beat Vodka, organic lemonade, a splash of blueberry juice and fresh berries. Follow Sweet Beat Vodka to find out more about future events here.
Savvy Sleepers Swag Bar! Genesis provided pens & nail files. Guests filled favor bags with savvy swag like smart phone wallets and creaseless hair-ties.
Drooling yet? These adorable cupcakes were created by local entrepreneur and founder of Jar Cakery. Special thanks to Frost Bank - celebrating 150 years in Texas this year - for sponsoring these adorable desserts so each guest could try a cupcake in a jar! Flavors included vanilla with cream cheese frosting topped with fresh blueberries, chocolate and pumpkin because who doesn't love pumpkin in the fall?! We LOVE Frost Bank!
Guests arrived and mingled before Bianca Jackson (in the pretty purple lace dress) of Genesis spoke about the reality of Domestic Violence and what Genesis Women's Shelter does to help women in need in the DFW area.
